I’ve been home to Sicily for this year’s olive farming and although the harvest was little lower then usual because of the extremely hot and dry summer, we still managed to pick 2,271 kilos!
Our farm is situated on Monte Kronio, the site of an ancient volcano and our 294 olive trees are of the Nocellara, Biancolilla and Cerasuola variety. After a lot of work, this year’s harvest was finally milled into 474 kilos of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
We can’t wait to sample it at Sicily Restaurant!
